FAQs

Will there be childcare for my child?

We will have childcare during the Centennial worship service for ages 3 and under at the HPUMC campus from 8:30a-12:00p. Reservations are required by 2/18 and space is limited.

Are children welcome at the Centennial service?

YES! Children of all ages are welcome to attend this historic service at Moody Coliseum. A commemorative coloring book, crayons, and a special sticker will be handed out to all children at the entrance.

What if my little one is too wiggly to sit through the service?

There will be a designated Family Room at Moody with a few toys and extra seating where you may feel more comfortable letting your little one move around. The service will be streaming live on screen in this area, so you won’t have to miss the service.

What will be the process for dropping our children off at the HPUMC campus for childcare?

Parents may park in the north lot or at the Meadows garage and walk children into the 1st floor children’s area north children’s area doors. All children with a reservation will be checked in at the kiosk and provided with a room assignment. After dropping off your child, a bus will transport you from the Wesley Hall entrance (covered drive) to Moody for the service. This shuttle will also return you to campus to pick up your child following the service.

My child will be in care for a longer period of time than a typical Sunday. Will a snack be served?

For this special service, we will be providing a light nut free snack for the children. If your child has specific allergy concerns, please make certain to indicate that information on your reservation and send your child with an alternative snack if needed.

What if there is an emergency? How will I be notified?

Pagers will be made available to ensure that we can contact you quickly in the event of an emergency. Exit Moody quickly and find the designated emergency golf cart. Our staff will take you directly to the HPUMC campus to tend to your child. For this special service, we will reserve paging a parent only in the event of a true emergency.
