A Message from Rev. Paul Rasmussen
Dear HPUMC Family,
It’s exciting to think that our 100 Year Anniversary is just a few months away.
What an extraordinary opportunity it is for all of us to be part of the church family at this historic moment when we pass the milestone of one century and head eagerly into another. I believe the best way to honor the legacy of our past is to make sure we are prepared for our future. And good preparation always demands vibrant prayer.
Jesus never embarked on a mission without first spending significant time in prayer. Following his example, as we contemplate the ministry of our next 100 years, I ask that you join me in observing 100 Days of Prayer leading up to the commencement of our second century. We’ll begin November 14, 2015 and continue through our Centennial Celebration on Sunday, February 21, 2016.
The prayers that follow reflect requests from our ministers, staff, and congregation for God’s guidance and blessing in all facets of HPUMC’s ministry. I hope that you will pray boldly as we lift up the hopes and dreams of HPUMC to our gracious God. Let’s give thanks for God’s relentless provision over the past 100 years, and let’s invite God’s spirit and blessing to be upon the decisions that will drive our future. I truly believe this will be the most significant thing we do as we prepare to move into our next chapter as a church.
Grace & Peace,
Paul
